Merletto

Editor’s Note:

Merletto is a standalone piece, released as a one-off exploration of fabric and pattern. Inspired by hand-painted tiles, the leaded glass of shuttered windows, and the pale curve of seashells along a summer coastline, it's worked entirely in crochet corded lace, laid out in checkerboard panels that echo the rhythm of tilework underfoot. Cut in a straight, relaxed abaya silhouette, the 100% cotton lace is soft and breathable against the skin, finished with a gentle lining beneath. Four mismatched buttons run down the front, a quiet, natural detail set against the intricacy of the lace. Style it with soft and airy bases, such as silk dresses or linens.

Care & Preservation:

• For best preservation, we recommend hand wash only, cold water, gentle pH-neutral detergent.
• Do not wring, press out water in a towel, reshape by hand and dry flat away from direct sunlight. 
• Iron on low heat with a pressing cloth, or steam from a distance.
