This piece started on the cutting table as a test of the fabric itself, cotton crochet stitched into panels wide enough to hold their own as an abaya.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pattern is inspired by tilework our designer photographed years ago in a courtyard somewhere between Puglia and the Amalfi Coast: circles nested inside squares, repeating across the floor like a mosaic left out in the sun too long. Cut in a straight, relaxed abaya silhouette, the 100% cotton lace is soft and breathable against the skin, finished with a gentle lining beneath. Four mismatched buttons run down the front, a quiet, natural detail set against the intricacy of the lace.
